In April of this year, once more we had an opportunity to visit our African friends. Our team consisted of ministers, brothers and sisters from America, Germany and Russia. The purpose of our trip was to provide a pastoral training for new ministers and those already serving in churches located in various refugee camps. Words cannot describe the value of such fellowship to all of us. In order to get to the seminars, some brothers from the local churches had to travel as much as fifty kilometers. Thank God for Ivan Oselsky, Willie Dyker and Willie Dick, faithful and dedicated ministers, who led seminars from dawn to dusk in very difficult natural conditions while putting biblical truths in the hearts of listeners.
Dr. Walter, a dentist from Germany, has been involved with our trips for the second year. Those who live in refugee camps have no access to doctors for years. Crowds lined up to be seen by Dr. Walter. Sometimes people had to wait for hours, but that time was used as an opportunity for Gospel preaching. Those who came to get medical help, first of all had a chance to hear about the One, Who can heal the spirit, soul and body. By God’s grace, we had the opportunity to hold playgrounds for children inhabiting these camps. It was exciting to see joyful children who listened to biblical stories and were full of positive emotions after interesting games. In one of the camps, we had more than nine hundred children at once. I am thankful to God for the unity of our team; without it, the coordination of so many children wouldn’t be possible.
Praise be to God for every brother and sister, who sacrificed their time and finances in order to help long-suffering people of Africa.
